Abstract:
Compactification of heterotic string over Calabi-Yau (CY) threefold (with possible non-trivial bundles) is one of the most promising approach to derive the standard model of particle physics from string theory. Generalized Complete Intersection Calabi-Yau Manifold (gCICY) is a new construction of Calabi-Yau manifolds established recently. However, the standard algebraic method to generate new gCICYs is very laborious. Another way to construct CY threefold is from quotient of some discrete symmetry while if these discrete symmetries have fixed points it is also difficult to check. In this talk, we will discuss how to study these problems using neural networks.
